Services & OptionsYou will find that my services are not bundled into packages, thereby, allowing more flexibility in creating the package that suits your needs. You choose your coverage options, prints, and presentation (albums, frames, etc) individually. If there is something you don't see listed, feel free to ask. I will be more than happy to try and accommodate your special needs. Photographic Style
My practice is to try and stay in the background, out of the way and shoot things
as they naturally occur. I want people to remember the happy moments they experience,
not the usual "move here or look there" approach, often resulting in a feeling of
intrusion.
I do, however, take the time for special posed portraits. During those times I will
direct you to a certain location and ask you to pose a certain way or do certain things,
all the time keeping in mind a relaxed and natural looking portrait. Similarly, during
studio sessions I will begin with a suggested pose and then work with you so that the
session flows relaxed and comfortably for everyone involved. Each pose will be treated
in the same manner. My portrait sessions are very personalized. While I do work from some standard poses we will capture your personality in them and create the moods you are looking for. These are not quick sessions where I tell you how to sit and look, you will be very much a part of the whole process.
Ideally, the use of natural light is my first preference; however, when this is not
feasible flash will be used, when necessary. To achieve the optimum finished
product, I use an assortment of different films combined with developers designed to
accommodate a variety of lighting conditions.
Engagement Session
Your engagement session gives us an opportunity to work together before your
special day. Photos from this session can be used for announcements and/or invitations.
You can also display your photo at your wedding and choose a 'signable' mat that allows
your guests to leave their comments along with your photo. The photo may then be changed
to one from your wedding day.
You have the option of black and white, color, or both.
Pre-Wedding Bridal Portraits
Portraits of the bride taken before the wedding in the studio or on location have the
benefit of taking a slower, more controlled approach that isn't usually possible to
achieve during a hectic wedding schedule. You will be photographed in your full gown
and veil.
Bridal Gown Fitting.
Documentary black and white coverage of your bridal gown fitting appointment.
Bridal Boudoir
Let me begin by saying that "Bridal Boudoir" is not a term I am fond of when describing
this type of photography. Whether you call it Bridal Boudoir, Glamour, Fantasy, Lingerie,
Intimate Portraits, Nude, Semi-nude, or Implied Nude, this type of photography does provide
a very special and intimate wedding present for your husband. This category of portraits
does not suit everyone's taste, but some couples do appreciate it more than others. This is
something exclusively and personally intimate that only you and your loved one will share.
For those of you who think you need to have the body of a runway model to pose for this type
of portrait, nothing could be further from the truth. The level at which you choose to
reveal of your body in these portraits is left solely up to you. The photo session can take
place in the studio or other indoor location of your choosing. As a matter of suggestion, I
usually recommend that the bride considers wearing her honeymoon lingerie. This way,
looking back at the photos in years to come, you both will have fond memories of your first
night together as husband and wife. Portraits can be done in color and/or black and white,
and it's a good idea to schedule Boudoir and Bridal portraits on the same day
As is the case with all my photography sessions, I will work with you personally and
discreetly, and I can assure you a finished portrait that will not only make you feel good
about yourself but will provide you with a very unique and treasured gift for your husband.
I suggest you bring a close female friend or I can arrange for a female assistant during
the session.

Full Day includes up to eight (8) hours of coverage including the ceremony, reception, and some posed formals. Partial day coverage is also available. A full day begins with photos of the bride getting ready, the ceremony, formals (usually at the reception location) and the reception.
I shoot traditional black and white film specially selected for the appropriate conditions, then processed by hand to achieve the best results. under the conditions photographed. Negatives are then digitally scanned to a CD and to a web page for online viewing. online gallery also serves as an ordering system for you and your guests. These serve as your proofs.
Prints
After you receive your digital proofs, you then choose the quantity and sizes you want. I personally make each print by hand onto double weight fiber based paper. Prints are archivally processed and washed. Minilab/machine prints cannot achieve the same level of quality as the prints you will receive, simply due to the fact that I take the time with each and every print, factoring in subject, lighting and shading, surroundings, background, mood, and sentiment.the difference shows.
For color photos, I scan in the film and prepare the image digitaly. In addition to color correcting the image, if necessary, I also control local contrast and brightness throughout the image. In some cases I have removed blemishes, scars, wrinkles, braces, and more. I generally prefer to keep things fairly honest in my portraits. After I am done, I bring the files to a lab for printing on Fuji Crystal Archive Paper. Fuji Crystal Archive is a traditional color photographic paper. It is exposed to light (in this case from lasers) and then processed through color chemistry. THe paper is no different than the paper you would use to enlarge from film but the results are much nicer and I have more control. Fuji Crystal Archive currently has the longest life of color photographic papers. These are not ink jet prints. These are real photographic prints. Albums, Folios and Frames
There are many different options for albums, folios and frames. Everything from off the shelf items to completely custom made. Presentation options are not limited to the items listed below. If there is something different you'd like, feel free to ask.
